Still Here

Well a couple of you have been actively concerned by our silence and I'm sure the rest of you were thinking of us. Yes we are still in Bali, which is in Indonesia, but thankfully well away from all the death & destruction of the recent earthquake / tsunami activity.

Instead we have just been enjoying blazing hot sunshine, a light sea breeze, the occasional rumble of thunder in the far distance, lots of diving and several Bintangs a night.

Had an expedition today on Mike all the way from Pemuteran to Seririt - it may not look very far on the map but on Mike it's quite a nad-shaking experience (so Adrian reminds me). It's all right for him, at least he can see when the bumps are coming.... We toured the local shops, said hello again to the handouk man, got begged at, quick tour of the market an then highlight of the day - Hardy's!!! Not been in a supermarket for a month.

Here's some food for thought for you - the yoghurt cost more than the gin.

Everywhere was strangely quiet as tomorrow is a special day - Galungan (you can look it up) - so lots of places are shut and Wayan had to kill the pig this morning. At least I hope it was the pig as I still get confused about the difference between babi and bayi.
